Karla started her working life at Simpson Grierson as a legal secretary.
During her seven years there she worked for partner Liam McEntegart and up to seven solicitors in the litigation department.
When Liam left Simpson Grierson to practice as a barrister at Park Chambers she went with him.
While at Park Chambers Karla was employed as Office Manager and took care of all chambers accounting requirements as well as working for both Liam and resource management barrister Mark Cooper QC.
Karla left Park Chambers after three years to have her family.
While her children were young she worked night shifts at Simpson Grierson for two years and then at Buddle Findlay for seven years in their commercial department.
During that time Karla also discovered the flexibility of providing outsourced administration services from home.
What started as typing for ex-colleagues has grown into a transcription business looking after dozens of clients throughout New Zealand and overseas.
She is proud to still be providing PA services to Liam 23 years after they started working together at Simpson Grierson.
